Lunik is a full service, bipartisan public affairs and strategic communications firm with offices in Melbourne and Canberra.
At the helm are Emily Minson and Zack McLennan, who founded the company in 2016 after several years working in government, and in the public affairs and communications sectors.
Our goal is to help clients understand the political climate so that they can make effective and informed business decisions. We help our clients anticipate and manage challenges and be positioned to capitalise on opportunities when they arise.
Each client brief is unique and the Lunik team draws upon its wealth of experience to develop politically informed stakeholder engagement and media strategies.
Over the past few years, Lunik has focused on the defence sector, where we have successfully positioned clients to win contracts of substantial value, increase their profiles within the Australian market, and manage political and media risk.
Lunik offers one of the few consulting teams in the Asia Pacific region to have worked on large-scale government defence procurement processes from start to finish.
We look forward to the opportunity of working with you.
Emily specialises in providing advice to Australian and international companies on sensitive and potentially contentious commercial transactions and government policies, multi-stakeholder campaigns, and reputation and crisis management counsel.
She has worked across a broad range of industries and sectors including defence, nuclear, natural resources, infrastructure, health, banking and finance.
Prior to forming Lunik, Emily led the Canberra office of global public affairs and communications firm Kreab. During this time she established the company’s defence practice and led the political campaign for Naval Group (formerly DCNS) on their bid for the Australian Government’s Future Submarine Program valued at $50 billion. She also spent five years working for a corporate advisory firm where she provided political advice to Australian and international companies on large scale mergers and acquisitions, and strategic and crisis communications counsel.
Zack has an extensive working knowledge of parliamentary processes and high-level connections in both the parliament and bureaucracy. For many years, he worked as an adviser in federal and state politics.
As a consultant, he has worked across defence, Fintech, higher education, mining and energy, and health. His clients have ranged from industry bodies such as Universities Australia and the Infant Nutrition Council, overseas multinationals including Naval Group and Intel as well as not-for-profit advocacy groups like the George Institute and the Cancer Drugs Alliance.
Zack has worked on policy issues ranging from sovereignty in Australian defence industry, the interpretation of World Health Organisation guidelines, and the government response to the rapidly developing blockchain and digital currency sectors.
